Laos

After years of aborted attempts at getting to Laos (afraid our Chinese visas wouldn't allow re-entry to China, spending too much time drinking buckets of booze in Cambodia, worried about the health risks of sitting on Vietnamese-Laotian buses...), in October 2010 we finally made it to Laos. We'd heard stories of it being the last backpacker's paradise. Good food, friendly people and amazing vistas.  We sandwiched the trip in between our Divemaster stint on Koh Tao and our visit to the US, going to the capital Vientiane and the tubing parties at Vang Vieng.

Please enjoy the slideshows of our photos below. If you have trouble with the shows or if you'd like to look through the photos at a more leisurely pace, please visit our dedicated Flickr page www.flickr.com/photos/alaskankangaroo.
