The Big Trip has begun! We are in a Chongqing Subway waiting for our parents to arrive this afternoon and evening.

So far the trip is going well--yesterday and the day before were a nightmare of packing and organizing. This will be no surprise for some of you who have seen us packing before, but we ended up with way too much stuff even after all the careful equipment research and discussions we've done over the last year. We're scuttling a lot of it today and over the next days I expect our loads will get lighter.

Next up: Chongqing for parents

Haha,Miss Beth, glad to hear that you have already began your wonderful treavelling. Is there any different for you to get used to the food and weather in Chongqing.Surely,Chongqing is knewn to be one of the "Three hotest cities" in China. Thus, the weather must be hotter there, and also the food is spicier than that in Zunyi and wish you have less complanments on those things. Finally, may you have a exciting begining and I will be curious about you travelling all the time.

Hello Jerry! (and everyone else waiting for a response)

We're having trouble logging in to change the information on our website--access has been blocked both in Chongqing and YiChang. I hope to get it up again in Xi'an.

Thanks to everyone for reading and keeping in touch!

Beth

OMG those glamour shots are amazing! So glad you guys did that before you left. The hair garland shots remind me a bit of a Mighty Boosh episode where they get hypnotised by the Yeti...
